Filter Foam

We at PANA offer physically and chemically cross-linked as well as non-cross-linked PE foams in our product range and thus cover a wide range of applications.

Due to their low fogging and emission values, physically crosslinked foams are particularly suitable for use in automotive interiors.

Filterschaum - PPI Schaum

Due to their cell structure (closed cell) and their properties, PE foams are particularly suitable for sealing, insulating and insulating. PE foams are also resistant to many chemicals/solvents and have good UV and ozone resistance.

In order to be able to serve as many different industries as possible, we process PE foams in many different colours and densities. PE foam is therefore used in the automotive, construction, industrial, medical and orthopaedic technology, electronics and many other sectors.

Frequently asked questions about PE foam:

  • In which areas is polyethylene foam used?

Polyethylene foam or PE foam is used in all industries due to its feel and properties.

Because of its fine-pored cell structure and its velvety surface, PE foam is used, on the one hand, when the appearance plays a role (e.g. case linings, presentation boxes, etc.). On the other hand, the PE foam has corresponding properties so that it can also be used as insulation or damping material.

  • What is PE foam?

A distinction is made in polyethylene foam between cross-linked PE foam and non-cross-linked PE foam.

In cross-linked PE foam (chemically or physically cross-linked), the polymer chains are chemically interconnected at certain points and form a three-dimensional network.

Crosslinked PE foam has a fine, regular and closed cell structure. The closed cell structure offers excellent heat and cold insulation properties. In addition, cross-linked PE foam cannot absorb water. Different colour variants make it particularly attractive and provide a smooth surface.

  • Where is PE foam often used?

Polyethylene foam or PE foam is used in all industries due to its feel and properties.

Because of its fine-pored cell structure and its velvety surface, PE foam is used, on the one hand, when the appearance plays a role (e.g. case linings, presentation boxes, etc.). • How is PE foam processed?

PE foam can be processed in various ways due to its closed cell structure.
